The Dermatology Advice and Support Pilot is progressing well

The ‘First Derm’ pilot for practices is well underway and appears to be going well.  ‘First Derm’ provides practices with the ability to send a picture of the patients’ skin complaint or lumps and bumps that you would ordinarily need to refer but just need advice.  These are viewed by a Dermatologist and responses returned within hours with advice and guidance. The picture is taken using a smartphone and can be used with an additional attachment, a dermatoscope that will enhance the picture quality.  This is being funded by the alliance and is now live in Winsford who have purchased dermatoscopes for all Winsford practices.
