Recent NICE Asthma guidance is recommending the use of FeNO testing. The evidence suggests that FeNO testing helps in making a more accurate diagnosis of asthma and also has a role in reducing inhaler usage in well-controlled patients whose treatment can be stepped down. These interventions both improve patient quality of care and lead to better use of resources.   During July 2018, 27 practices across South Cheshire & Vale Royal GP Alliance have received training and a FeNO testing machine.
