Disaster Recovery

Hand drawing a flowchart

Following the Cyber Attack in May 2017, the GP Alliance have been working with practices to review their Disaster Recovery Planning to identify where improvements could be made, especially focused around gaining access to patient medical records during times of disruption and looking at how the provision of care can be provided during such times.

We have helped improve processes for managing access to Electronic Medical Records during periods of disruption and daily activities that practices can introduce to their processes to limit the impact of any disaster situation; all of which can be introduced into practices Disaster Recovery Plans.
