This project aims to ensure that GP Practices have a standardised waiting room system that can be controlled from any computer with internet access, both at practice and GP Alliance level if required, and gives Practices access to a library of 1400+ health media articles including all NHS Choices videos. In addition, it can display PowerPoint showing practice specific information (great for displaying things like monthly DNAs, clinic information etc), photos and videos, and display website RSS feeds such as BBC News headlines and NHS Choices.
There is also a patient call option which is fully integrated with the EMIS GP clinical system. The screens act as call screens for patients to be called in for appointments whilst allowing for important messages i.e. self-care, health promotion to be visualised in practices whilst patients are waiting for their appointment.
Project Funding
The Envisage Screens have been funded out of one of the ETTF bids. 2 screens per practice have been funded with software and service support for 3 years.
Project Implementation Date
End of September 2017
