Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have a requirement to implement a solution for users who do not have corporate devices to have the ability to work from home and remotely access
their clinical systems and file shares. This is to replace the current solution which is end of life and no longer supported.
The system will utilise an established Virtual Desktop Infrastructure used for clinical and non-clinical use. The solution is internet facing as there is a requirement for mobile devices (e.g.
iPads) to connect over 3/4G for some remote clinical services. This option would allow access to the virtual desktop infrastructure via its own secure access server from any device including
personal devices that have an internet connection via the Horizon View application installed on the device.
