The objective of this project is to improve patient engagement, improve DNA rates and provide an effective method of interacting with patients directly. Bi-Directional SMS messaging, will provide for automatic incoming cancellations and re booking requests through EMIS, the principle clinical system provider in the South Cheshire and Vale Royal localities.
Using text messaging helps ensure that appointments are more likely to be attended and the facility to re arrange appointments through your phone is likely to increase the take up of the service. This will also assist with reducing costs within practices.
